Audrey Alessi is a violist and violinist, with degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Her principal teachers, all students of violist Karen Tuttle, include former and current members of the Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras. Audrey has performed as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician, including with the Akron Symphony and Columbus Indiana Philharmonic. 

As a teacher, Audrey has experience with all ages and levels of students. She completed her Suzuki teacher training through the Sato Center for Suzuki Studies at the

Cleveland Institute of Music and additional teacher training through the String Academy at Indiana University. With all of her students she emphasizes exploring different genres of music and challenging students to reach individual goals. In her teaching she focuses on creating a beautiful sound and developing a deep appreciation of music. Audrey looks forward to performing and teaching throughout the DC area and is excited to be joining the Opal faculty!
